Google and the National Association of REALTORS (NAR) recently released a joint study — The Digital House Hunt: Consumer and Market Trends in Real Estate. Some really important data was released about how house hunters looked for homes during 2012. Some interesting statistics include:

  • 90% of home buyers searched online throughout their home buying process.
  • Real estate related searches have increased 253% on Google over the past four years.
  • 89% of new home shoppers used mobile search engines throughout their home search.

As you can see, the internet plays a huge part in buying a home in today’s market. That’s why Shorewest, REALTORS® introduced our brand new website this past fall. One amazing feature are our community resource pages, featuring more than 240 unique community pages throughout our 11-county market area with colorful photos, detailed links to schools, demographics of the area, market stats and local businesses, as well as descriptive copy describing the history and local flavor. Our new homepage features a quick property search, which is also available on every page throughout the site, gorgeous seasonal rotating pictures from across Wisconsin, links to our various social media platforms, plus the new opportunity to subscribe via RSS Feed. It also features clean and easy navigation throughout the site, including to all of our agents and offices. Be sure to check out all of these great features and more at shorewest.com.
